Ranking 100 Open Startups puts the company on the map of the startup ecosystem and reinforces the message that the company is actively committed to seeking innovation and exploring new business opportunities
São Paulo, October of 2023 – A Niterra, Japanese multinational that owns the NGK and NTK brands and specializes in components for ignition systems and automotive sensors, is one of the five companies that most relate to startups in the Automotive Industry category of the Ranking 100 Open Startups. The award includes leading corporations in open innovation with startups, in addition to the most attractive startups for the corporate market.
“This award confirms Niterra’s involvement in collaboration between corporations and startups, emphasizing its effectiveness in establishing relationships with the innovation ecosystem”, afirma Eduardo Tsukahara, vice president of Niterra do Brasil. “The achievement is the result of the efforts of the Innovation and New Business area, restructured at the beginning of this year, and the entire company, which is increasingly opening up to innovate, aiming both at Niterra’s digital transformation and at generating new business opportunities.”
The prize for Open Corps is categorized by sectors of activity and includes a general ranking that highlights the 100 companies that stood out most in the area of open innovation. In the edition of 2023, with more than five thousand registered companies, Niterra achieved a notable feat by ranking fifth among the main companies in the automotive sector in its first year of participation. In 2022, the award recognized companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Stellar, edge, Renault and Volkswagen, who were among the top five.
